The Sweet Spot
A tennis player, golfer, or baseball player will tell you that there is no greater feeling than hitting the ball in the sweet spot. It is a phenomenon that does not happen enough for me when I hit the little white ball! But life can be lived in the sweet spot as well. When we are connected to God vertically through Jesus Christ then we can properly be connected to others horizontally and that is living life in the sweet spot. God is really blessing our church her at FB Lavaca the Radiant Church and I am so grateful and do not want to take it for granted. We baptized 7 Sunday and had more come forward to get saved and it was a real blessing. I just got back from visiting a family in our community in their home and they want to join our church as well.
I was so blessed today to meet a pastor in the hospital in Fort Smith. He serves as pastor of a church in OK and his name is Reed I believe. I was visiting some of our church members in the hospital and his wife recognized me from our broadcast and she asked if I would go to his room and meet him. What a blessing to meet and pray with a godly man who is struggling with the harsh disease of cancer. I also had an opportunity to pray in the parking lot with an elderly man who watches us faithfully every week. FB Lavaca it is so neat to see how God is using this TV ministry to touch so many lives, many of whom we will not know about until we go to heaven.
Speaking of the sweet spot in Christianity-- we have around 10 people going on a mission trip to Belarus in May/June!! I am so excited about going and serving with some from our church family. As the Lord wills we will have a wonderful time serving together.
