Nepal Update (2-19-09)

February 19, 2009

Got up at 5:00 am and then drove to airport to catch the flight that will take you to the Himalayan Mountain Range.  It was a one-hour flight and one of the prettiest, most majestic things I have ever seen.  You could see Everest positioned high above the rest with regal splendor.  Our God is an awesome God He reigns from heaven above.  Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”  Psalm 19:1, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.”  I wish my family could have seen this.  Each passenger on the small plane was allowed to go to the cockpit and look out from this perspective and it was just amazing.  How could anyone look at that and say how wonderful evolution is?  It is the work of a Master Craftsman, the Artisan par excellent—it is the work of the one true God.

We came back to the hotel then went shopping and sightseeing then visited a couple of orphanages.  And visiting the orphans was one of the highlights of the trip.  The kids were wonderful, so well behaved and appreciative.  The orphans stay with a pastor and his wife and they take great care of them and love the kids.  The kids sang for us and quoted Scripture; it was really incredible.
