God continues to bless and we are staying quite busy with family, FBCL, and DFEA.  Thanks for all the prayers for us.  God has allowed us some great opportunities to touch many people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ here in the Lavaca area.  I have some pictures to show from the Easter Egg Hunt we had on April 11 at Jack and Frue Tate's. God blessed as we shared the death and resurrection with many children and their families.  Also there is a picture or two of our Bless Lavaca Day we had on April 18.  Wow, what a big day we had as our people reached out and touched this city in wonderful acts of kindness in Jesus' name.  We were able to pick up trash, give free haircuts, give away free vouchers for food, help people with their gasoline, wash cars, mow lawns, and we fed many at our block party.  It was a great day as the Lord held back the rain for us!  Thank You Jesus!  And the last picture is a group of pastors in northwest Arkansas to whom I had the privilege of preaching on April 20.

I am so proud of our people as we continue to bless others with our Change Our World emphasis the last Sunday of each month during the year 2009.  We gave over $1400.00 last Sunday!  Our people continue to give so faithfully to our budget and H2O debt retirement and are doing so well in our church financially.

We are close to presenting the revised copy of our Constitution and By-Laws and brand new Personnel Manual! I appreciate so very much the members of the Cons. and By Laws and Personnel Committees for all their hard work and for our staff members, Bro. Tony Buchanan and Terry Hurt.  We are making much progress on key foundational issues that will assist our church for many years to come.  I am also praying about a Vision Team that will assist me in helping plan for the future here at our church--as the old adage puts it, "When you fail to plan, you plan to fail!"

Please pray for me as I travel to FBC Charlotte, NC on May 2.  I will be preahcing a revival meeting May 3-6 and excited about the opportunity.  I will be able to attend most of the Men's Retreat here at FBCL.  On Sunday our church is in for a huge blessing as Bro Herb Hodges preaches in the morning and our own Bro Tony will preach in the evening worship service.

One last word--I continue to pray about the opportinity to preach on TBN's the Church Channel.  We are currently rasing the money through DFEA and people are responding.  I still have a long way to go so if the Lord impresses you to help me then please do so.  Would it not be awesome to be able to preach to a potential audience of 2.3 billion; that is a B as in billion!
