Resurrection Day!
Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 10:06AM Of course every Sunday is Resurrection Sunday but this week is the one Sunday in Spring each year where believers from all over the world gather and celebrate the greatest event in the history of the world--the bodily resurrection of the Son of God who died for the sins of the world. I am pumped and excited to be able to preach Sunday from Acts 13 which is one of the most powerful and wonderful resurrection passages in the Word of God. Pray for me please as we wil have many here that need to meet the risen Savior.
While in Israel in June of last year we concluded our tour of the Holy Land by going to Calvary and the Empty Tomb. It was a remarkable and life-changing experience for me. Here are a couple of pictures I took; hope you enjoy. The first picture is of the empty tomb where Jesus body lay. The picture of Golgotha is wonderful as you can see the resemblance of a skull, thus the "Place of the Skull." and the next picture is of the door leading to the Empty Tomb. I have this picture on my computer desk top and just love it!!
Update on TBN Church Channel: We have $4,000 committed of the $104,000 needed. Our NRB broadcast continues to go very well and I heard from another pastor today who watches and is encouraged. Thanks for all who support DFEA. I am grateful for all that God does here at FBCL and with DFEA. Pray for me as I prepare to preach the revival services at the FBC Charlotte, NC May 3-6.
Jesus is Risen!
