Ministry Update May 21, 2009

The Lord continues to bless and I am grateful.  We had a great day at FBCL and what a blessing it was to see all our graduating seniors coming forward.  And Drew Hill and the guys did a superb job with the luncheon; it was so nice and the families enjoyed it.  We are such a blessed church with so many folks who love the Lord and serve with a servant's heart.

One of those graduationg seniors is  our daughter Hannah.  And we are so proud of her.  She is prepaing to attend Liberty University in the fall.

I preached last night at Seddon Baptist Church in Pell City, AL.  This is a great church here in north central AL outside of Birmingham.  We had a bout 100 people at the worship service and the Lord blessed.  The folks here love to sing praise and hear the Word of God preached.  I was able to spend some time with my family.  My brother, Jerry, and his wife, Gina, and I visited my mother in the Alzheimer's wing of the nursing home she stays, and it was hard.  She would look at me and smile and also hold my hand and not let go.  She did not know me but somewhere deep in her heart and mind she knew there was something.  It is sad, but the Lord is in control and I am grateful for the time I had to see her.

I am looking forward to a big day at FBCL this Sunday.  I am so excited about the sermon the Lord has given me entitled, "No Matter What!" from Acts 14:8-20.  And Brother Tony will be preaching Sunday night and that will be a good time with the Lord and His people.

Please keep praying about our opportunity to broadacst my sermons on TBN's The Church Channel.  We have folks who are supporting this and we are waiting to see how the Lord will open or close this door.

Have a blessed day and thanks for all the prayers and support you are to my family and me.

Danny

Hey Bro Danny & Bro Tony I know you all are out of town but just wanted to let you know your message touched my heart again this am. As you & Bro Tony know our family is in the mist of a storm. It is my relationship with Jesus Christ that is getting me through. Just pray for my family, Mother, and especially my nieces Jeanna Janet & Jo. The loss of Shirley has been tough on all. God is testing our faith and he will get us through.God Bless U Both!
