The Sweet Spot

A tennis player, golfer, or baseball player will tell you that there is no greater feeling than hitting the ball in the sweet spot. It is a phenomenon that does not happen enough for me when I hit the little white ball! But life can be lived in the sweet spot as well. When we are connected to God vertically through Jesus Christ then we can properly be connected to others horizontally and that is living life in the sweet spot. God is really blessing our church her at FB Lavaca the Radiant Church and I am so grateful and do not want to take it for granted. We baptized 7 Sunday and had more come forward to get saved and it was a real blessing. I just got back from visiting a family in our community in their home and they want to join our church as well.

I was so blessed today to meet a pastor in the hospital in Fort Smith. He serves as pastor of a church in OK and his name is Reed I believe. I was visiting some of our church members in the hospital and his wife recognized me from our broadcast and she asked if I would go to his room and meet him. What a blessing to meet and pray with a godly man who is struggling with the harsh disease of cancer. I also had an opportunity to pray in the parking lot with an elderly man who watches us faithfully every week. FB Lavaca it is so neat to see how God is using this TV ministry to touch so many lives, many of whom we will not know about until we go to heaven.

Speaking of the sweet spot in Christianity-- we have around 10 people going on a mission trip to Belarus in May/June!! I am so excited about going and serving with some from our church family. As the Lord wills we will have a wonderful time serving together.

ISRAEL!!! I am so thrilled about going to Israel June 16-25, 2008. We have 22 signed up to go and we have room for more if you are interested in going. We leave from Dallas on June 16th and the cost is $3,000.00 If you would like to go call Discovery Ministry at 817.989.1771 and turn in your deposit and go with us. My whole family is going. God is so good to us.

Fun and Busy Days!

We are going full steam and having a good time. God continues to bless and we are grateful for His care and provisions. I am sitting at the FBC Woodstock, GA and had a couple of minutes to post an entry on my blog as I have been delinquent in posting recently. I just preached here at FBC at the Bailey Smith Real Evangelism Conference and had a blast. It was a blessing to spend some time with my good friend Pastor Johnny Hunt. Look up the word passion in the dictionary and you will see his picture. I will head back tonight to Fort Smith and to our new home in Greenwood! Yes we have moved and now we have the fun task of unpacking boxes. We love our new place and love being at FB Lavaca, the Radiant Church. God continues to move in our midst and we are seeing people saved and joining our church and it is awesome. We are so blessed at Lavaca to have the staff that we have. I appreciate the men and women so much who pour out their time and talents to serve Christ and His church. As for DFEA God continues to bless and this was a great opportunity to preach here at Woodstock and I feel so blessed, humbled, and honored. Pray for me as I get on the plane to head home. God has been giving me wonderful witnessing opportunities like last night at the hotel lobby. Pray for Debra and Nikesha please. OK I am about to try and post some pictures on the blog. There will be pictures of the family, our new home, a photo of Michael English (and my sons) who came and gave a concert at FB Lavaca, and Pastor Johnny Hunt at FBC Woodstock. Hope you enjoy and see you Sunday!
