The Seniors and Noah
Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 02:26PM Our first trip away from home together was a great success. We were able to go to Branson, Mo to the Sight and Sound Theatre to watch Noah, The Musical. We had an awesome trip with plenty of fellowship and fun, but most importantly God was center stage as we watched how Noah dealt with the "call" of God and how he stayed faithful to God through those many years that it took to build the Ark and the year or so he was on the Ark with his family. Just as Noah believed God and lived through the great flood, you too, can believe God and live for ever in Heaven by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. The Bible tells us that we have all come short of God's Glory by the sins that we have committed against God, and there is absolutely nothing that you can do to erase those sins, even time cannot do away with committed sins. That is why Jesus came to the earth. He did all that was needed by living a sinless life and then dying on a cross for our sins. You may ask, what makes His death on the Cross so special? It's very simple, the blood that Jesus shed was absolutely the purest, cleanest blood ever known to man because it was God's blood. God allowed His Son to be sacrificed so you and I could go to heaven when this life is over here on the earth. He paid the debt that we owed and could not pay ourselves and all you need to do is ask God to forgive you of your sins (that is called repenting), believe that Jesus died and then raised from the dead three days later, placing your faith in Him alone. Your works can not do it, your church membership can not do it, the fact that you are a good law abiding citizen will have nothing to do with your salvation. The only thing that will give you eternal salvation in Heaven is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Can you tell that I enjoyed Noah! I have a few pictures from the trip as well. This is what you see as you drive up to the Theatre. AWESOME !! The bottom two pictures are of some of our seniors. These guys are for the most part a bunch of hoots! We had a blast with everyone. Sonda and I love you guys.
God Bless,
Pastor Kenny
