Nursing Home and Homebound Ministry

I wanted to give an update on our Nursing Home and Homebound Ministry. The ladies in the church that make the quilts have done it again. You guys have made some of our people very happy. Sonda and I took the quilts around to our people that are in the nursing home and told them that some of the ladies in the church made the quilts just for them and oh, what a response they gave. Most if not all of them cried and were so very thankful that you guys thought of them. May God bless you ladies who give freely of your time and talents of which some are never noticed here, but I promise you that when you stand before our Lord, you'll have rewards to lay at His feet for the efforts here on this earth.

Here are the pictures of our seniors in the nursing home.

Ms. Joyce Carney is at Pinkbud in Greenwood

This is Bill and Wilma (short) Maples at the Greenhurst Nursing Home In Charleston. What an awesome visit we had two weeks ago. Bill started telling me about his experience in World War II and what a story. Bill has been shot several times with a bullet still lodged in his head. Bill drove the amphibious vehicle that picked up the soldiers off of the ships and would then take them to the shore for battle. his stories are a part of our history as they are as much of a part of our freedom as any other battle that took place. WHAT A HERO. If you guys can stop by and visit with any of these guys, I know they would appreciate it. For those who signed up for the Homebound and Nursing Home Ministry, we will get things rolling in the next couple of weeks. I know that you will be BLESSED. Please remember our Homebound and Nursing Home people as many of them have struggles that we won't know about until we get there ourselves!!

I Love you all,

Pastor Kenny

Kenny,

This is a great blog posting. Those blankets are beautiful and so are the smiles on the faces of our senior adults. I looked at those pictures and thought of James 1:27, "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." Way to go Bro Kenny!

In Tennessee terms, "Ain't God Good." FBL has got a real jewel. Kenny has a "servant's heart". He is great at what he does and has and will be used effectively at FBL. We here at ERBC are so proud of Kenny and Sonda.

Love you guys,

Wesley, Amanda, and Jacob Vaughn

Dear Bro Kenny, I guess I'm a little behind in reading the blogs because I have not read this one. Anyways, I wanted to let you know that in those photos, Alva Hanna, is my Grandma. And I want to thank you for going and visiting her. I know she was very blessed by that visit. I am so wonderfully thankful to have had the privlage of growing up as her grand daughter. She was the only christian influence I had growing up, as I grew up in an alcholic houshold. We still pray for my parents daily.
She watches Bro Danny ALL the time and when I go visit her that's all she talks about. She always tells me how proud she is of me in the Clown Ministry, but it is me that is truly blessed and proud to have her as MY Grandmother. Thank you for all that you do and may your days to come be blessed.

P.S. I know you are probably trying to put a name with a face so the next time I see you I'll let you know...
