Merry Christmas from the Bailey's
Monday, December 15, 2008 at 08:21AM The senior adult Christmas dinner came and went and I believe that a great time of fellowship was had by all. It was a time of sharing, caring, talking and of course, eating. I will have to say, that the food at Golden Corral was very good. The management team did an awesome job of preparation.
Just six months ago i knew no ones name here at First Lavaca, but last thursday night at our dinner, I knew just about all of the 68 or so names of our people who were there.
You guys have taken me in and just "flat out" have loved me and my family, and for that I am thankful to God. As I write this blog, I think of how God arranges everything in our lives and I am left amazed. He formed us from the dust of the ground for one purpose and that is to love and honor Him with our lives. We above all people have every reason to be thankful and to be in a constant state of praise and thankfulness for the greatest gift ever given to man. That gift is Jesus Christ who's birth we celebrate not only on Dec. 25th, but all year. All the Christmas parties, the cookie exchanges, the Christmas caroling, the gift exchanging; Everything is done because God first gave Jesus Christ to a world who otherwise would have had no hope. Praise God, for Jesus is my Redeemer King.
I want to wish all of you a Merry and Holy Christmas as I celebrate with you. I have added some holiday pictures of my family. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL, I"LL BLOG YOU LATER!
