The Love of God given through His church

God's love is amazing!  Sonda and I have felt your love, First Baptist Lavaca. God has made us in His image to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He created us to love on Him and others as He has loved on us. Relationships are a  part of Life, with the greatest, and by far the most important one being with Jesus Christ. Sonda and I had been use to seeing our parents, our children, and our brothers and sister, along with our nephews on a regular basis. Not being able to see them has been the hardest issue for us here in Lavaca.

BUT GOD, through His amazing grace has given grace at just the right times! He has given it through the preached Word, (preach on Pastor Danny), through the warm words of the church and through established friendships and those that are starting to grow.

I want to introduce to you my family. My mom and dad are Wayne and Faye Bailey of Rogersville, TN. They lived just across the street from me before my move to Lavaca. My brother is Shane Bailey and his wife is Donna. Shane is an asst. principal and Donna is a nurse. They lived just behind me. Shane, at the age of 12 landed a roll in a major movie production called, "The River". This movie had a couple of well known actors in it, Mel Gibson and Sissy Spacek. Shane played their son in the movie. It was an awesome experience to watch all that takes place in making a major motion picture. Shane has two boys, the oldest is "River" (i wonder how he picked that name), and his brother Parker. I call them "River Clay" and "Parker Joe".  I have one sister, Pandora Lawson of North Carolina (close to Black Mountain). Pandy is married to Rick Lawson. Pandy has one of the biggest hearts ever. She is a Nurse and works with the mentally and physically disabled as well as doing home health. Rick works for Baldor, Dodge Reliance.

I have two children, Jake is 23 and Brooke is 20. My son is currently working at Hewlett-Packard and going to school full time at Devry University in Atlanta. My daughter is in nursing school at Walters State community college in Morristown, TN.  God has given us a great blessing in our children as they both are wonderful. And of course, we miss them like crazy.  My prayer for them is that God would be allowed to use them for His glory. We also have a dog named Tipper, she is 10 years old now and she and my dad stay busy keeping the neighborhood secure. We left Tipper with dad as they have a good friendship goin' (as long as he feeds her).

Well, that's my family in East Tennessee. And yes, they are all HUGE Tennessee Volunteers. (we can't wait for basketball season this year !)

I wanted to let you know a little about my family as we are going into our fourth month here at First Baptist Lavaca. I will have a big update on the Senior Adult Ministry in the next day or so. WOW, how God is moving.

I love you all,

Pastor Kenny

You were talking about Pandy having the biggest heart, it must be a family thing!!
Love and best wishes always,
