Senior Adult get-to-gether & a trip to Jubilee in Branson
Monday, January 12, 2009 at 02:35PM Hey Guys, Just wanted to give an update on our Senior Adult Schedule of events coming up in the first few months of this new year.
First we have a Senior Adult Banquet in honor of our Widows & Widowers coming up on February 12th in the H2O center that will start at 5pm. (we eat at 5pm). This will be a pot luck where we will supply some chicken breast, but that does not mean that you guys can't bring chicken & dumplings !!! It never hurts to have variety in your meats!
At this banquet I have asked Dwayne Stamper to do a concert and also Brother Terry Hurt will sing a few songs as Dwayne Plays. We are extremely blessed to have Dwayne and Terry on staff and it will be an awesome time of praise music.
On April 27th-29th we will be heading to Branson, MO to be apart of the Spring Time Jubilee. Johnny Hunt & Junior Hill will be the featured speakers and i can not wait to hear these guys preach the word. While we are there we have a choice to see one of four different shows that is in with the price of the conference which makes this an even sweeter deal. If you are interested in going, you must sign up in the Pastor greeting area before Feb. 15th. Read your bulletin to stay updated on any changes and any new information.
This conference will be an awesome opportunity for our seniors to stop and reflect on what God wants out of our lives as this conference is put together especially for the senior adult Christians.
We do have one other event on the calendar for later on in the year. On November 5th, we will traveling back to Branson where the Sight & Sound Theatre will be presenting a new production called, "Miracle of Christmas". I wanted to get our name in the hat as this one only runs about 50 days and at Branson, that is not very long.
Well, that's the schedule for right now, and I will update as needed. Please remember our thursday morning bible study and we will be breaking away from 1st Corinthians in the near future to start an exciting video study called "The Truth Project". What is truth? Come see for yourself.
See you in church,
Love you all,
Kenny B.
