Paige Niblett

I grew up in Lavaca, Arkansas.  My parents, Jack and Frue Tate, instilled in me at a young age a love for God and family.  Some of my earliest memories as a child are at church.  My parents also took me on my first mission trip when I was three years old, and that has profoundly shaped my life.  I accepted Christ for myself at the age of six, during Vacation Bible School.  My life has never been the same since.  I felt God calling me into full time Christian ministry early in my life.  I make my calling public in my ninth grade year of high school.  At the time I had no idea where I would end up.  That ‘s the funny thing about faith….God just says “Trust Me.”  That is exactly what I did.  And God proved himself faithful.  I have two great passions in the ministry:  children and missions.  Because I accepted Christ at a young age, I know first hand how having God in control has shaped my life.  It is my desire to see children of all ages and cultures come to faith in Christ Jesus.  The foundation for a life of faith begins in the preschool formative years, and I feel blessed to be able to minister to these precious little ones.

I met my husband, Chris, during college.  We were married in 2004 and immediately moved to seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, where we are both pursuing our master’s degrees.  I began working at FBC Lavaca as the Director of Preschool Ministry in 2005.

Education:

• Graduated Valedictorian from Lavaca High School in 2000.

• Graduated Cum Laude Honor Graduate from John Brown University with my B.A. in Intercultural Studies with a double minor in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and Preschool/Children’s Ministry

• I will graduate from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with my     Masters Degree in Christian Education, with a double emphasis in Women’s Ministry and Preschool/Children’s Ministry

Ministry Experience:

• Taught VBS at FBC, Lavaca from 1995 to Present

• Taught Children’s Church, FBC Lavaca 1998-2000

• Designed and painted Ft. Sonshine, 2002

• North American Mission Board Summer Missionary, 2003

• SWBTS Children’s Center, 2004-2005

• Mission Experience:  Hispanic Church Planting in Arkansas; Illinois, Texas, Wyoming, Montana, Mexico,  Belize, India, Nepal, Israel and Jordan.

Hobbies:

• I enjoy spending time with my husband, photography, painting, cooking, crochet, traveling,     & reading.
