Promise Kids (Community) Preschool

Mission Statement

The mission of Promise Kids Preschool is to provide the community with a unique, high quality, early childhood Christian educational program.  We will assist the home and church in building a strong spiritual and educational foundation in the lives of preschoolers based on the principles and love of Jesus Christ.

Program Definition

Promise Kids Preschool is established by First Baptist Church and is an important part of the church's ministry.  The church's commitment to the program is based on the belief in the importance of offering a strong Christian foundation for early learning.  We are defined as an early childhood "Private Christian School" and we focus on the development of children in the formative years.  The school is licensed by the Department of Human Services and meets or exceeds all requirements for licensing standards.

General Information

Enrollment

• Enrollment will begin February 22 for students already enrolled in the program, their siblings, and church members.  To enroll your child, you must complete an enrollment form which can be picked up in the church office, worship center atrium, or mailed to you at your request.

• Enrollment will be open to the public March 1

• Enrollment forms may be turned in to the church office on these dates.  Forms will only be accepted if they are accompanied by a current copy of your child's shot records and the $50 non-refundable enrollment fee.  Classes will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Classes Offered

PS3 (3-year-olds), and K4 (4-year-olds)

PS3 students must be 3 on or before August 1.  K4 students must be 4 on or before August 1.  All children must be toilet trained.

Half day and Full day classes are offered in both age groups.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
7:45-3:00 Full day - Students will bring their lunch
7:45-11:30  Half day

Tuition and Fees

$50 non-refundable enrollment fee (Due upon enrollment)
$100 supply fee - this covers all supplies, curriculum and snacks (Due August 1)
Full day $190 each month (September - May)
Half day $130 each month (September - May)

Calendar

We closely follow the Lavaca Public School calendar.  Preschool is in session August through May.

Curriculum

A Beka:  This includes daily lessons in Bible, Phonics, Numbers, Handwriting (K4), and Activity (Art, Music, Drama).  Learning centers are also an important part of the daily schedule, as well as snack and recess time.

Class Size

All classes will have 10 children or less.  We feel that small classes are important and allow our teachers to devote more quality time to each child.
