The Radiant Church
Shining Upward, Inward, and Outward
It's really more than a slogan or catchphrase. Seriously. It's our way of living, our way of doing business, raising our families, and serving our communities. It's a divine call to shine upward in worship, inward in discipleship, and outward in evangelism. It's who we are. We are The Radiant Church.
Ephesians 5:27 – and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. (NIV)
A Radiant Church shines upward in Worship.
- Romans 12:1 - I urge you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
A Radiant Church shines inward in Discipleship.
- 1 Peter 2:2 – like newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the word, that by it you may grow in respect to salvation (NASB)
- Matthew 28:19 – Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…. (NASB)
A Radiant Church shines outward in Evangelism.
- Acts 1:8 – but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth (NASB)
- Matthew 5:13-16 – You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless how will it be made salty again? It is good for nothing anymore, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp, and put it under the peck-measure, but on the lampstand; and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
