It's never been like this before.
I went to see Dr. Wills this morning to get the stints out of my nose. To say the least I was a little apprehensive. I had heard some horror stories about this day and this surgery, but to my suprise it was next to painless. (after seeing the size and length of the stints though I'm convinced that they were blocking pain receptors in my medulla oblongata) The nurse asked if I was O.K. and I said sure, and then it happened. I took a fresh, clean, unobstructed breath of air and told her, "It's never been like this before." To which she replied, "It'll continue to get better for the next couple of weeks as healing finishes." It's something that I can't really explain unless you have been through the same thing. It's pretty awesome.
A friend asked me last night if it was worth it and I told him, "I'll let you know tomorrow." Well, it was. The surgery has come a long way from the horror stories that I had heard. Knowing what I know now, I'd do it all again. Thanks Dr. Wills and all the nurses for a great nose job. Here's the new me.
