Busy Days

I need one of those "round-to-it" buttons. I use to have one, really. I have for days intended to post a writing to my blog but have put it off until I could get to it. It has been almost a month so it is time to get to it!

The days have been busy and sometimes seem to never stop. But I am grateful for the Lord's continued blessing on our lives and church. We continue to see Him working all around us. That is very exciting and I am honored to be a part of it.

Our team going to Belarus is working hard in preparation for the trip that is now just over a month away. The dates for the trip are May 29 - June 6. Please pray for spiritual and financial needs. God is blessing as we near the final stages. Our team consist of:
Bro. Danny Forshee
Micah Gregory
Frances Headley
Mark Headley
Terry Hurt
Emily Hurt
Katie Hurt
Sarah Smithson
Stuart Smithson
Christy Williams

I am very excited about doing the mission trip with both our girls. With that said, I am disappointed that Debbie and Josh could not go with us. We are already talking about the next one. Please pray for them, especially Debbie, as we are gone. We will be joining a team from North Carolina led by Phil and Mary Sharitz. We are looking forward to working at a children's camp and assisting local pastors with whatever they and the missionary deem necessary.

As we have studied "On Mission With God" we are reminded that we are all on mission with Him regardless of where we are. We are to be "radiant" reflecting His glory making ourselves available for His mission both at home and around the world. It is exciting to be a part a church with that vision!

Brother Terry looks like you have a great crew going with you, I hope next year at this time my wife and I will have a chance to go on a mission trip with the church. The great thing for all of us is that we are all on a mission for God right here in our back yard. God bless you Terry and keep the good music rolling, all of us music leaders are breaking great new ground with the Worship that is out here. I really believe we need to set down and write some as well, let me know what you think...
