We are watching history.  It is pretty cool to be part of it.  Today is the inauguration of our 44th president, Barack Obama.  It is hard to imagine 2 million people in Washington to witness this momentous event.  Every news channel on TV is covering the inauguration not to mention the dozens of online streams that are bringing us live coverage.  The media frenzy alone is enough to say this is a big deal.

I want to encourage you to pray for our new president and his administration.  I like what John McCain said, "His success is our success." That should be our sentiments.  We should lift him up daily and trust God to inspire, lead and direct him to do what will be best for our country.  As conservatives that may seem somewhat of an oxymoron!  :-) Regardless, we trust the sovereignty of God more than man and remember nothing gets to us that doesn't go by Him first.

I will watch with anticipation the months ahead and have hope that the future will bring the promised change that will be good for all of us.
