Both of our Interim Search Committees, the Interim Pulpit Search Committee and the Pastor Search Committee have done a wonderful job during the vacancy of a Sr. Pastor.

I want to thank the Interim Pulpit Search Committee for filling the pulpit each Sunday. It was no small task in securing speakers each week. They were diligent in not only bringing preachers and speakers in but bringing good speakers in. I know their desire was to invite men who First Lavaca would enjoy hearing and men who would feed us from God's Word. These men met each week to pray and seek the Lord's direction. While we have enjoyed hearing many men over these 7 months it is going to be great having consistency in the pulpit once again.

I also want to thank the Pastor Search Committee for an awesome job. From the beginning they simply prayed for God to bring His man to our church. God honored their prayers and the prayers of hundreds who joined them to be a Pastor Search Prayer Partner. It must be one of the most God ordained callings I have ever witnessed or been a part of. God just did it! I know God used Bob Ward as the chairman to call this group to pray and to trust. They did and God did. Thank you all for taking your role in this process seriously and for allowing God to use you as He did.

We are all excited about Bro. Danny and the family coming to First Baptist Lavaca. I am so thankful that God allowed us to see this process through in only 7 months. It is almost unheard of to happen that quickly. It sometimes takes 2 years or more for churches to call a pastor. God has been faithful at every turn of this process in our church!

So as you thank the people in the above lists also thank God for bringing us an incedible preacher/pastor and family to lead us and to serve along side us at FBL. Good times are ahead! PTL!
