Happy Anniversary to Me (and Edie, I guess)
Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 07:33PM It is my anniversary day. I have been married for 22 years. I love my wife so deeply that I really don't have words strong enough to express it properly. If I had it to do all over again, I'd do it a thousand times. I love you Edie!!!!!!!!
We spent the weekend in Fayetteville, just hanging out. We shopped some, we ate some, and we even got to look at some snow. It was an awesome anniversary. On this occasion I want to share some things that I have learned from my wife over the years. Some of these things I have shared in sermons, others I have not, so here goes:
1. Never say, "my mom's tastes better"
2. Never ask, "are you going to wear that?" as you are walking out of the door.
3. Sometimes you have to buy jewelry.
4. Don't put about 8 tic tacs in your mouth and get real close to a women who is having a baby. Apparently, it makes them very sick.
5. Dirty dishes go in the dishwasher, not the sink.
6. Dads don't babysit, they parent.
7. Little gifts go a long way.
8. Sometimes you have to hold hands.
9. Edie wants every cat she has ever seen....I hate cats!
10. If your wife ever out-fishes you (hypothetically, of course), she will never let you forget it.
