The past couple of weeks has flown by.  I spent about a week in Roatan, Honduras, then came home for a few days before departing to Louisville, KY for the Southern Baptist Convention.

Honduras was just awesome.  On the island of Roatan there is an assembly of Baptist Churches that hold an annual Bible Conference.  I was invited to be the guest speaker.  We had about 3 services per day with other prayer meetings and small group meetings as well.  I must say that I have not seen God move in such a powerful way!  The first day was odd and it seemed a stranglehold was hanging onto the conference.  However, the second day, God brought the convicting power of the Holy Spirit upon lives and things started happening.  Before the conference was over dozens and dozens of people had given their lives to the Lord.  Many other decisions were made for Christ as well.  Hallelujah!  What a Savior!

I always enjoy the convention.  It was great seeing old friends and I heard some awesome preaching.  After a busy week in Honduras is was great to have my soul fed.  We re-elected Johnny Hunt as our president and also voted for him to appoint a Great Commission Resurgent committee.  Next year when we meet in Orlando. Florida we will have a report from the committee.  Should be very interesting.

My family is very busy this summer.  Edie is finishing up her classes so that she will be certified to teach in Arkansas.  Kristen is working, Josh is working and playing lots of golf.  Somewhere, we hope to sneak in a few vacation days.
