Great Day Yesterday
I just had to comment and thank the Lord for an unbelievable Sunday. We saw 7 people baptized, at least two people rededicate their lives, and 3 people saved that we know of. Also, Sunday was special because my mom made it in and is now living with us. Also, I had two of my dearest friends and fellow minister's of the gospel visiting. It was a great day, indeed.
Proud of my Pastor
Brother Danny was invited to speak at the Bailey Smith Real Evangelism Conference at First Baptist Woodstock this week. He will also preach at a future conference. This is a huge deal. I know Brother Danny would never say these things, so I am going to say them. Preaching at this conference is an unbelievable honor. The list of conference speakers includes the best that Southern Baptist have to offer. From what I hear, Brother Danny preached the stars down. We are fortunate to hear weekly, one of the finest preachers of our day. I, for one, am very proud of our preacher and the bold stand he take for God's precious Word. Thank you Brother Danny!!
Moving and Surgery
Two big events have dominated the past few days. First, we finally moved into our new house. It is awesome to be back in our own home and to be able to wash clothes in our own wash room. Oh, the things we miss. We have much to do to get things in order. Our garage is full of boxes. When I say full, I mean from left to right and top to bottom. It will takes weeks to get everything in its place. My mom will be here Friday. It will be great to have her back with us.
Surgery - We have been mentioning surgery over the past few entries, but we were talking about Edie. Smokey (our Yorkie-poo) is having surgery today. He is so wild, he fell off the couch and hurt his little leg pretty badly. Also, he has some baby teeth removed that never fell out. I cannot believe the dog gets this much attention.
Update on Edie
We went to the surgeon's office today. We didn't get to see the surgeon, but saw his nurse practitioner. She showed us the film of her MRI and Edie has 2 herniated discs. We will see the surgeon next week. From the sound of it, Edie will not have surgery initially. They are hoping physical therapy and medicine will bring her to health. Surgery is the last choice. Thank you all for your concern and for your prayers. I love the family of God. I will add more soon.
