The Conductor

The Conductor

In July 2016, 7,548 musicians came together in Frankfurt, Germany to break the world record as the largest musical ensemble.  Can you imagine over 7,500 people focused on one conductor, hanging on every wave of his hand?  At any moment, the conductor could stop everyone!  At any moment, the conductor could cause everyone to speed up or slow down.  If anyone stopped watching the conductor, they could be completely lost in the music.

Jeremiah 29:[11] For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

God has a plan for you!  How do you know if you are living the plan God has for your life?  Romans 11:36 says “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.”  God is our GPS.  God is the Conductor!

Have you ever watched a conductor?  Their job is to make sure everyone in that band or choir knows what is coming next for everyone!  Only God knows the plans He has for us.  Therefore, the only way we stay on track is by keeping our eyes focused on Him.

Also remember that a conductor only gives the next measure or the next beat.  You do not know what coming next or how the song will end-but the conductor does.  You trust the conductor and know that if you keep your eyes on Him, He will use you to make beautiful music.  Psalm 199:105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.”

Challenge: God uses His word to direct us.  Read His word!  You may not know how your song will end, but if you are keeping your eyes on Him through His word, you can know you are right where you need to be.

TODAY’S PRAYER:
Thank you for Your word!  Thank You for Your plan for my life!
I commit myself to You today and desire to be in the center of your plan for my life.
Grant me the determination to get into Your word consistently and earnestly seek Your plan in every area of my life.
In Jesus name- Amen.
